The Oregon Barbecue Company is very excited to announce that they are sponsoring this weekends Strawberry Century Ride in Lebanon. The annual event which began in 1992 is celebrating its 26th consecutive year and has been voted the #1 Bike Ride in Oregon in 2017, drawing cyclists from all across the Pacific Northwest. "We've been searching for ways to become more active in the Lebanon Community," stated Cassie Anderson who is the GM of OBC's Lebanon location. "When we received the call from the events coordinators asking if we'd like to participate, we knew this was the perfect opportunity to lend a hand and get involved in some of Lebanon's deep traditions," she continued as she spoke about the $6000 donation of food and services they'll be providing to over 600 cyclists. "We are very excited to be in the Lebanon Community and are looking forward to continue doing what we can to help Lebanon and all the incredible folks for many years to come."
This years Century Ride takes place on Saturday, June 9th where the first cyclists are scheduled to leave the gates at 7:00am as they embark on the "EPIC" 100 mile ride full of sustained climbs, rolling backroads, and a total of 3,876 feet of elevation change. Upon completion of the designated routes the cyclists will return to Lebanon High School for an Award Winning lunch to be served and donated by the Oregon Barbecue Company Family.
